Booking and payment
Can I drop in to shoot a few guns?
No, we only sell complete packages. You can book any of them through our online booking system by paying the deposit, or you can come without booking and deposit on weekdays (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) between 12:00 and 15:00, every hour, for the “Basic” package.
I have no bank card. Can I pay the full amount on site?
Unfortunately not. We do not accept a booking without the deposit paid online. You can still come without booking and deposit on weekdays (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) between 12:00 and 15:00, every hour, for the “Basic” package.
I have not received a confirmation. What should I do?
Right after paying the deposit you get an automatic e-mail, followed by a confirmation within a few hours. If you can't even see the automatic e-mail, you probably mistyped your address. If there is no confirmation within 24 hours, check your spam folder first. If it is not there either, write to booking@celeritas-sch.com.
Can I share a package with someone?
No, a package cannot be shared. One package is for one person.
Can I share an extra gun?
The same applies to extra guns as to the package itself: added once, only one person can shoot it.
Packages and guns
Can I add extra guns to a package?
Yes, any gun in our armoury can be tried. The number of shots depends on the calibre of the gun you choose. Just click “Add a gun” during booking, pick from the list and add it to your package.
Can I change or swap the guns in a package, or shoot a custom package?
No, the guns cannot be swapped, as others shooting the same package at the same time might not find it fair. Extra guns can be added with the “Add a gun” button. A custom package is also possible; you find the details on the Participation terms page.
Can I shoot fully automatic guns?
All live-fire assault rifles in the packages (AK47, M16 and other big, black, evil rifles) and submachine guns (UZI, MP5 and other small, black, naughty guns) are semi-automatic versions: one trigger pull = one bang. By law, fully automatic firearms are allowed only for law enforcement and the military.
We are a group of X people. Can we shoot different packages at the same time?
At most four different packages can be shot in one time slot. If you are coming with a partner who is a little wary of firearms, we strongly recommend a simpler package (“Basic” or “Police Special”) for them.
I am coming alone. Can I join a group?
Most likely you will shoot together with others, as for practical reasons we merge smaller groups into a larger one of up to 12 people.
Location and getting here
How far is the range from the city centre and how long does it take to get there?
We are 15 km from the city centre, in the south of Budapest, usually a 20–30 minute drive. By public transport it can take 1–1.5 hours depending on tram, bus and metro timetables and where you start from.
What is the easiest way to get there by public transport?
To plan the best route we recommend Google Maps (also linked from our Contact page) or the BKK journey planner.
How much is a taxi?
Depending on distance and traffic, usually around 6,000 HUF. More information on the City Taxi website.
Taking part
Can spectators come with me?
Space is limited, so no more than 20 people can be in the shooting lane at once. We can admit at most 3 spectators per shooter or group. Please note the expected number of spectators in the “Note” field when booking. Spectators take part free of charge and we provide eye and ear protection for them too. Pregnant women may not take part, not even as spectators.
Can I take photos and videos?
Of course. You can take photos and videos during the shooting and afterwards with the empty guns.
Can I take the cartridge cases home as a souvenir?
A few cases can be taken as a souvenir, as possession of fired cases is allowed in Hungary. They must not be taken on an aircraft, though, not even in checked luggage. If you fly, your bag will be screened and they will probably be found, which leads to legal trouble.
What language is the event in?
Most of our guests are from abroad, so we speak English. Of course we all speak Hungarian too.
What should I wear?
Although the range is indoors, in a basement, the ventilation blows in fresh outdoor air, so the temperature is about the same as outside, minus the snow, rain and blazing sun. Dress sporty and comfortable. Guns are oily and get sooty in use, so a white shirt or a cocktail dress is not the best idea. Flip-flops and high heels are not recommended either.
Can a pregnant woman take part?
The answer is a big red NO with three exclamation marks. From around week 24 the foetus can hear outside sounds, and a gunshot is very loud. Unless you want your child born with hearing damage, stay away from the range.
If you can't find an answer, write to booking@celeritas-sch.com.
